Poland wants to host a joint US-Ukraine Patriot missile factory
Warsaw pitched Washington a deal: Ukraine brings the tech and need, America brings the license, and Poland provides a roof.
Building air defense missiles inside a country under daily bombardment is, to put it mildly, a logistical nightmare. So Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka from the Polish defense ministry went straight to the Pentagon with a simple fix: let Poland host a three-way manufacturing hub for Patriot interceptors alongside Ukraine and the US.
This whole idea picked up steam after Donald Trump dropped hints about letting Ukraine produce Patriot components. Naturally, Poland jumped in to offer safe real estate right next door, plus a regional repair hub for good measure.
It turns out everyone wants Patriot missiles right now, but nobody can make them fast enough.
Bureaucracy moves slow, but watching neighbors team up to build hyper-advanced interceptors next door is definitely a shift.
