Norway drops €109M on sea drones for Ukraine

Original version ·

While some are busy writing deep concern letters, Oslo decided to fund something that actually sinks warships.

Norway is putting 1.2 billion NOK—roughly 109 million euros—directly into maritime drones for Ukraine. The Black Sea has already become a very uncomfortable place for some navy officers, and it looks like the water is about to get even hotter.

Instead of just sending old warehouse leftovers, the cool part is they are specifically funding the development of new, even deadlier sea beasts. This means local engineers get the cash to build exactly what works best against target practice dressed as warships.

It turns out the Vikings still know exactly how to behave when someone misbehaves on the water.
