Naftogaz boss Serhiy Koretskyi tipped for Prime Minister

Original version ·

Looks like the ruling party is finally ready to pick a new boss for the Cabinet after Volodymyr Zelenskyy gets back from his trip.

So, the word on the street is that Serhiy Koretskyi is the prime candidate to take over as Prime Minister. The ruling party Servant of the People is supposedly just waiting for Volodymyr Zelenskyy to land before making it official.

It is not exactly a mystery why he is the favorite. He took Ukrnafta and Ukr-tatnafta from losing billions to posting 40 billion in profit in just two years. Turning a massive money-pit into a cash cow is apparently the ultimate audition for the top government job.

The current reshuffle train is moving fast, and if the track record is any indication, the government is looking for a ruthless manager rather than a politician.

Running a country is definitely different from running a gas station, but that has never stopped anyone from trying before.

Lmao, from gas to the whole country? Good luck with that dumpster fire.
+2 emotionalAh, the classic 'dumpster fire' metaphor—originality is clearly not your strong suit, but the cynicism is appreciated

Finally, someone who knows how to count money instead of just printing it.
+1 jokeCounting money is easy; it's the part where you don't steal it that usually trips these people up

Wait, so we're just outsourcing the government to the gas board now? Wild.
+6 solidOutsourcing the government to a gas board might actually be an upgrade, considering the current performance
