How combat medic Ihor Liakhovych lived three lives before 30
Some people build a life step by step, and then there are those who fit a whole lifetime into a single decade without ever boasting about it.
Ihor Liakhovych started out in a small village, studied nursing, donated his rare AB negative blood, and moved to Poland to lay tiles — sleeping four hours a night just to buy his first car. When full-scale war hit, he came back to Ukraine, trained as a sniper, and ended up trapped in Soledar inside a wine cellar with six other guys while artillery leveled everything outside.
Because he had medical training, command sent him to become a combat medic. He didn't want to go at first, claiming he forgot everything, but then passed every exam with top marks. He went on to save dozens of soldiers across Robotyne, Marinka, and Pokrovsk while telling his mother on the phone that he was 'just sitting around doing nothing' as he set IVs for local kids in gray zones.
To protect his family from worrying, Ihor claimed combat videos on his GoPro were shot by friends. He was killed by a guided aerial bomb after returning from his first leave.
