Massive Swarm: Air Defense Downed 182 Drones and 6 Banderol Munitions

Original version ·

Russia threw over 200 drones and missiles at Ukraine overnight, including jet-powered Shahed models, but the air defense crew pulled an absolute masterclass.

Another night, another monstrous swarm. Russia launched over 217 strike drones and decoys — more than 50 of them jet-powered — along with ballistic and guided air missiles targeting primarily the Kyiv and Odesa regions.

Ukrainian air defense units neutralized 182 drones, 6 Banderol loitering munitions, and 3 guided air missiles using aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare, and mobile fire teams.

Throwing dozens of high-speed jet drones and decoys just to watch mobile intercept teams swat them out of the night sky says everything about how resilient Ukrainian air defense has become.
