Ukraine downs 39 cruise missiles, 2 loitering munitions, and 145 drones

Original version ·

Another night of the neighbors unloading their entire catalog of aerospace weaponry just to watch air defense crews work overtime.

The attack featured virtually the entire inventory: hypersonic missiles, ballistic rockets, Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the sea, and almost 170 UAVs — nearly half of the Shahed drones fitted with jet engines alongside decoy drones designed to swamp radars.

Ukrainian defenders neutralized 39 cruise missiles, two rare Banderol loitering munitions, and 145 drones across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions using jets, missile systems, and mobile interceptor teams.

Burning through hundreds of millions of dollars in advanced munitions overnight against civil infrastructure remains the adversary's primary strategic playbook.
