Magura pilots just turned a 7-million-dollar Orion into scrap metal

Original version ·

Russia's supposedly elite Orion drone just learned that expensive gear is no match for a motivated team with a flight controller.

The geniuses at Sky Wars, part of the Magura brigade, decided that a seven-million-dollar piece of Russian pride needed to be retired early. This Orion was supposed to be their answer to the Bayraktar, carrying fancy guided bombs and new cruise missiles.

Instead of doing any of that, it ended up as a burning pile of junk in a field. It turns out that being expensive doesn't make you invisible to a well-piloted interceptor.

Expensive toys are apparently just very efficient, high-altitude firewood.
