Russian strikes on Kyiv kill eight, devastating rail workers and homes

Original version ·

Another brutal night in the capital as ballistic missiles and drones slam into private homes and rail infrastructure.

A quiet night was shattered by air sirens, followed by ballistic missiles targeting the capital. In Darnytsia, seven railway workers lost their lives on shift after a direct missile strike, while another person was killed at an enterprise in Holosiivskyi.

Across town, a downed drone leveled a private house in Solomianskyi district, injuring a family including two teenagers. Three more residents, including a ten-year-old boy, suffered injuries in Darnytsia.

Targeting overnight railway shifts and private suburban houses remains a horrifying interpretation of strategic deterrence.
