Russia targets Kyiv railways again

Original version ·

The morning commute just got a lot more dangerous as Russia takes aim at the capital's iron road.

Another day, another attempt to make sure nobody gets to work or home on time. This time, Russia decided that Ukrzaliznytsia infrastructure was a legitimate target in Kyiv. One railway worker was caught in the blast while heading home from a shift, and he's currently recovering in the hospital.

The station building itself is untouched, but the message is clear: even the tracks aren't off-limits for these people. The management is now basically begging everyone to stay the hell away from trains if there's even a hint of an air raid alert.

It is apparently easier to attack a civilian train line than to fight on the front lines.
