Night ballistic attack on Kyiv leaves dead and burning ruins

Original version ·

Another night in Kyiv where sleeping soundly till morning felt like winning a lottery.

Air raid sirens tore through the night as Russian ballistic missiles targeted Kyiv again. Midnight updates from Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko arrived in rapid succession while emergency crews rushed to multiple hit sites across the capital.

Debris ignited fires on parking lots in Solomyansky, torched warehouses in Darnytsky, and hit a car wash in Shevchenkivsky district. In one residential building, the lower floors partially collapsed, trapping residents in their homes as rescuers scrambled to free them.

Three people were killed and five others hospitalized after shattered metal crashed through residential blocks and non-residential buildings across the city.

While emergency crews battle fires in ruined courtyards, night after night confirms that residential blocks remain in the direct path of falling wreckage.
