A baby was born in a Kyiv shelter while Russia attacked

Original version ·

Life finds a way, even when the world outside is going to absolute hell.

Last night, while Russia was busy launching missiles at Kyiv, one maternity ward turned into a delivery room in the basement. Windows are smashed, the laundry room is trashed, but the docs didn't even skip a beat.

A baby boy was born at 2:05 AM in the shelter while the building above was taking a hit. Everyone is safe, which is honestly the only thing that matters right now.

It’s hard to wrap your head around: a child entering the world during a ballistic missile strike. That’s the kind of resilience you can’t train for.
