Attacks on Kyiv: strikes in four districts and an ammonia spill
Russia spent millions in hardware just to burn down local warehouses and target residential blocks.
The attack came in waves, mixing missiles and drones to hit at least seven spots across four districts. Residential buildings took damage, and massive fires broke out in warehouse complexes. In Holosiivskyi, rescuers had to dig through rubble while simultaneously dealing with a damaged refrigeration system that leaked about 300 liters of ammonia.
Emergency teams locked down the chemical spill almost immediately, so there is no lingering hazard for the neighborhood. Mayor Klitschko confirmed multiple casualties, including one fatality, while medics rushed the severely injured to hospitals.
Launching precision weaponry against industrial storage and sleeping suburbs remains the core Russian military doctrine. Rescue crews continue clearing the debris across the capital.
