Russian Drones Target Kyiv Courtyards and High-Rises, Killing Four

Original version ·

Another evening in Kyiv where civilian high-rises and playgrounds serve as primary targets for Russian loitering munitions.

Another quiet evening turned into wreckage and fire across residential neighborhoods of Kyiv. One drone smashed directly into a courtyard between apartment blocks in Obolon, setting parked cars ablaze and killing two people right outside their doorsteps. Seven others ended up injured, including two teenagers.

Over in the Desnianskyi district, another strike ripped straight into a twelve-story residential building, killing two women and wounding five residents—among them a one-year-old baby and a six-year-old child. Across the capital, the day's strikes left six people dead and twenty-one injured in ordinary homes and parking lots.

Military targets apparently now look remarkably like toddler bedrooms and neighborhood parking spots.
