Russian drone strikes an office building in Kyiv

Original version ·

Another loud night in the capital: air raid sirens wailing, drones buzzing overhead, and someone's Monday morning workspace catching fire.

Russian attack drones paid another uninvited visit to Kyiv, and their prime military objective apparently turned out to be an ordinary commercial building in the Solomianskyi District. Falling debris sparked an immediate blaze in an office, sending emergency crews scrambling into the night.

More drone fragments rained down across open ground nearby and over in the Obolonskyi District without causing injuries. Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on Shaheds just to wage war against swivel chairs and quarterly reports remains peak modern aggression.

Fighting an existential conflict by declaring open season on suburban office desks is quite a tactical statement.
