Kyiv drone toll hits two, Russia keeps hitting infrastructure

Original version ·

Another day in Kyiv, another morning spent tracking which part of the city is currently on fire.

It’s barely been a day and the numbers in Kyiv are already climbing. Vitali Klitschko male confirms we've lost two people, and 25 are injured after the latest Russia drone run. Most of the damage is concentrated on transit infrastructure and warehouses.

The hits were scattered all over: a gas station belonging to Ukrnafta turned into a fireball, and smoke is still drifting over multiple districts, making the air quality feel like a bad science experiment. They are not even trying to hide that they are targeting civilian infrastructure anymore, just taking aim at random warehouses and gas stations to keep the city on edge.

It’s hard to believe this is considered business as usual for a capital city in 2024.
