Ballistic missile hits children's hospital grounds in Kyiv
Russia launched another night attack on the Ukrainian capital, targeting a children's hospital yard and a warehouse.
Nighttime ballistic alerts in Kyiv are always tense, but targeting kids' medical facilities brings a whole new level of grim reality. Missiles landed right in the courtyard of a children’s hospital in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
The impact left two massive craters, blew out windows, and ruptured a main gas pipe on the property. Fortunately, all young patients and medical staff were already in shelters, and emergency crews managed to isolate the gas leak before secondary explosions occurred.
Across town, a warehouse caught fire across 1,200 square meters, injuring a 28-year-old man who was hospitalized.
Multi-million dollar ballistic missiles spent on hospital courtyards and storage units remain a stark reflection of military priorities.
