Kharkiv Hospitals and Homes Targeted: Another Night of Russian Brutality

Original version ·

The night in Kharkiv was far from quiet as Russia decided that local hospitals and apartment buildings were valid military targets.

So, the latest update from Kharkiv is basically more of the same absurdity. The Russian military decided to waste expensive Iskander-M missiles on a bunch of apartment blocks and three medical facilities in the Nemyzhlya district. Because clearly, nothing says 'victory' like blowing out a thousand windows in a residential neighborhood.

They targeted a hospital directly, forcing hundreds of patients to be evacuated while the city is now dealing with emergency power outages. It’s a special kind of cruelty to hit a place where people are literally trying to stay alive. The local crews and volunteers are out there cleaning up the glass and trying to patch things up while the power grid plays hide-and-seek.

Some people still think there's a logic to these attacks, but the only thing being achieved here is ruining lives and keeping the window repair business booming. Let that sink in.

Absolute scum. Targeting hospitals is their only remaining strategy.
+2 emotionalCalling them scum is accurate, though perhaps a bit generous given their track record

Are we supposed to be surprised at this point? They’ve been doing this for years, it’s just pure terrorism.
+1 boringYes, we are all very aware of the history; thank you for the redundant history lesson

Window repair stocks must be through the roof in Kharkiv by now.
