Germany calls out China for training Russian troops

Original version ·

Things are getting awkward in Berlin after reports surfaced that Beijing might be playing teacher for the Kremlin.

So, the news cycle just took a weird turn. Germany decided to have an "urgent chat" with the Chinese ambassador after rumors got a bit too loud about China training Russian soldiers. We aren't talking about friendly cultural exchanges here, but actual military drills on Chinese soil.

It seems that even with the diplomatic smiles, Berlin is starting to lose patience with the whole "neutrality" act. Apparently, training a couple hundred troops who then head straight to the front lines is a bit more than just a regular business partnership.

The irony of a global superpower acting like a quiet accomplice while pretending to be a peacemaker is definitely a look.
