Germany is raiding its own closet to boost Ukraine’s air defense
Looks like Boris Pistorius decided it’s time for some serious spring cleaning in the Bundeswehr warehouse.
So, Ramstein just happened, and Boris Pistorius decided to get real. Germany is handing over a triple-digit number of air-to-air missiles directly from their own stocks.
It is not just about the missiles, though. They are also throwing 200 million dollars at the PAC-3 program to keep those Patriot batteries fed, and another 200 mil into PURL to keep the hardware flowing. Basically, if it flies and protects the sky, they are trying to get it here faster.
Sometimes the best way to lead is to just empty your own shelves and hope everyone else feels awkward enough to follow suit.
