Ex-commander of the 155th Brigade wanted for murder

Original version ·

Justice moves in strange ways when a commander decides that running away is the best military strategy.

The former commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, is currently on the run. He did not stick around to explain why two civilians ended up murdered in the Kyiv region.

The Military Law Enforcement Service and local police did the legwork to uncover a organized group involved in kidnapping and killing. While the rest of the crew is being rounded up, the commander decided to pull a disappearing act and left his unit without permission the moment the heat started to rise.

Leaving your post while being investigated for murder is certainly a bold way to prove your innocence.

Absolute coward. How do you just walk out of a military base like that?
