EU just opened cluster number six for Ukraine accession

Original version ·

We are one step closer to the club, as Brussels officially greenlights the external relations cluster for Ukraine.

So, the EU bureaucrats in Brussels finally sat down and officially unlocked the sixth negotiation cluster—the one dealing with external relations. It is essentially the part of the paperwork where Ukraine gets to start aligning its foreign policy with the big guys.

Thomas Byrne , the Irish minister, was all smiles while talking about how Ukraine belongs in the European family. Taras Kachka and Marta Kos were also there to keep the vibes productive. The real takeaway here is that despite the war, the train is actually moving, and they are moving into the nitty-gritty of global diplomacy.

It’s a long road, but at least the door isn't just slightly ajar; they are officially walking through the hallway now.
