Long-Distance Sparks: Taneco Refinery and Black Sea Hub Hit
Ukrainian strikes gave Russian fuel logistics another fiery night, hitting deep into Tatarstan and right on the Black Sea coast.
Russian energy infrastructure took another pair of spectacular hits. The General Staff confirmed drone strikes against the Taneco refinery in Tatarstan and the Tamanneftegas marine terminal in Krasnodar Krai.
Both strategic facilities caught fire following direct impacts. These are massive operations: the Nizhnekamsk plant refines up to 16 million tons of crude every year, while the Taman terminal transfers nearly 20 million tons of fuel and liquefied gas from rail lines directly onto cargo vessels feeding front-line logistics.
Russian military fuel supplies have apparently decided to skip transport entirely and burn right where they were made.
