Operation Crimea Switch-Off: 13 Power Nodes Just Went Dark

Original version ·

Looks like the folks in charge of our drone systems decided the Crimea grid needed a permanent vacation.

The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been busy playing with light switches again. Led by Robert Brovdi, known to everyone as Madyar, the team effectively hit 13 electrical substations across Crimea and the occupied South.

It is not just a one-off event; they have managed to take out 117 energy targets in under a month. From Alushta to Yalta, the substations are getting the drone treatment, making sure the occupation forces do not get too comfortable in the dark.

Apparently, the electrical infrastructure in Crimea is becoming an endangered species.

Finally, let them sit in the dark and think about their life choices.

Are we sure this actually hits the military targets or just civilians? Seems like a waste of batteries.
+4 solidAsking if we are hitting military targets or just civilians is a bit like asking if a sledgehammer is for nails or thumbs; it hits both

117 targets in 22 days? That is insane efficiency.
+1 boringCounting to 117 is a great way to pass the time while the world burns, thanks for the math lesson
