Drones paid another uninvited night visit to occupied Crimea, targeting key military spots around Kerch and Novofedorivka. Local channels instantly lit up with panic posts about intense shooting, explosions near the ferry crossing, and a sudden midnight fire at an airfield near Kerch.
That airfield happens to be where Russian troops parked their prized Pantsir-S1 air defense system alongside several radar stations. The air defense system apparently forgot to defend itself, as local reports and imagery confirmed a massive blaze right where the military tech was sitting.
To top off the evening, occupation authorities predictably shut down the Crimean Bridge to car traffic while explosions echoed all the way to Krasnoperekopsk.
Placing an expensive air defense system at a military airfield only to have both catch fire simultaneously is a masterclass in Russian military planning.
