Finally, No More Trekking to the TCC to Turn 60
The Ministry of Defense just made turning retirement age a lot less annoying.
If you have been waiting to hit that magic age to finally be off the books, there is actually some good news. The Ministry of Defense is ditching the paperwork for the senior crowd. Once you hit the age limit—60 for most, 65 for top brass—the Oberih registry will just handle it automatically.
You do not need to show your face at the TCC just to prove you got older. The system pulls your date of birth and rank, sees you are done, and updates your status in Reserve+ to 'Removed.' If you do not see the change, just log out and back in again. It is surprisingly functional for a government system.
Of course, this does not erase any old trouble you might have caused before hitting the deadline. If you have outstanding fines or police referrals, you still have to deal with those separately, probably through the app or in person. But hey, at least the system finally stopped treating time like a secret.
It is almost impressive that the bureaucracy decided to stop doing the work it never wanted to do in the first place.
