Army+ starts testing digital unit transfers directly in the app

Original version ·

Bureaucracy in the military is finally getting a digital upgrade, starting with unit transfers.

Mykhailo Fedorov announced that soldiers in selected army corps can now test transferring between units through Army+. Privates and sergeants can submit requests directly in the app with a digital signature and track their status in real time. No paper trails or endless signatures needed.

To keep combat readiness balanced, transfers are limited to the same corps area with monthly quotas. The beta runs until late September before potential wider rollout.

Military paperwork moving from commander desks to smartphone screens was definitely not on anyone's bingo card, yet here it is.
